Ronald Dieck is Founder and Managing Director of Magic Venture Capital, LLC. In addition to Magic Venture Capital, he was Founder, President and CEO of Micro Interventional Systems (MIS). MIS was a very successful medical device start-up that was sold to a major medi- cal company in 1996. He has held executive positions at American Hospital Supply, Baxter Healthcare, Dow Corning Wright and Ameri- can Medical Electronics. Dr. Dieck has served as a Director and Chairman of the Board with numerous companies including Micro Interventional Systems, Spinal Concepts, Dynamic Spine, OrthoRadix and Tenaxis Medical. He has extensive experience in general management, research and development, marketing, regulatory affairs, manufacturing and equity financing. Dr. Dieck holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Ripon College and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University. He is the inventor of over fifty United States patents and has authored over forty technical papers. His main area of research and development is advanced materials and their potential use in medical devices.
