The 6th WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering, organized by Dr. Yubo Fan, was held in Beijing, China on August 5-8, 2013. WACBE 2013 attracted enthusiastic participation from around the world with 327 poster and podium presentations. The scientific program consisted of plenary, keynote and invited lectures, special symposiums, and poster sessions. The Savio & Pattie Woo Traveling Fellowship, funded with the generous support of Professor and Mrs. Savio L-Y. Woo and ASIAM Institute was awarded to three outstanding young investigators, Drs. Sophia Chui-Wai Ha, Ke Li and Chun-Yi Wen.
