Recipient of a Travel Grant to attend the 8th Combined Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Societies (CORS) and the International Symposium on Ligaments & Tendons-XIII (ISL&T-XIII)

katiefarraroIn October 2013, I had the opportunity to attend the 8th Combined Meeting of Orthopaedic Research Societies (CORS) and the International Symposium on Ligaments & Tendons-XIII (ISL&T-XIII). CORS was held in Venice, Italy, and was a great opportunity for me to learn about some of the latest research in orthopaedics, as well as share work from our laboratory on “Biomechanical Evaluation of the Quadriceps Tendon for ACL Reconstruction-A Human Cadaveric Study” in a podium presentation.

ISL&T-XIII was held in Arezzo, Italy. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Guiliano Cerulli, a friend and colleague of Dr. Woo, and his staff. The meeting was very informative, and it was great to reunite with friends I had spent much time working with at the MSRC. I was also able to present “A Novel Biodegradable Magnesium-Based Ring for ACL Healing: Comparison to Suture Repair.” I would like to thank Dr. and Mrs. Woo as well as ASIAM very much for allowing me to attend these meetings learn more about orthopaedic research.
