John Bartlett is a leading Orthopaedic personality in the Asian Pacific region. He specializes in knee surgery as a senior faculty member at the University of Melborne. He has published research work in 12 peer review journals and lectured in 36 countries.

Currently, he is an Executive Board Member of the Asia-Pacific Orthopaedic Association as well as Chairman of the 2016 APOA Biennial Congress to be held in Melbourne. Dr. Bartlette is also a Life Member of APOA. In 2012 he was awarded the L.O. Betts Medal (highest award of the Australian Orthopaedic Association).

He is the only surgeon that is an Honorary Life Member of the Australian Knee Society, ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy Knee and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine), ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee and Arthroscopy), and AANA (Arthroscopy Association of North America).
